A Research On Lichuan Dialect Vocabulary

Lichuan is located in the border region of Sichuan, Chongqing and Hubei, which is i n westernmost of Enshi Tujia autonomous region. There are about eleven minorities such as Miao nationality, Tujia nationality. The vocabulary of dialect is very complicated ther e. The dialect contains different languages of different minorities, and is affected by the d ialects of Sichuan and Hunan, which is very different from the vocabulary of even the oth er region of Enshi. The overall research about the vocabulary of this region has not been started, so this thesis is very conductive to the research of the vocabulary of Southwester n Mandarin, which also provide more comprehensive and detailed documents to the resea rch of character of dialects.The objects of this thesis are the three dialects regions. This thesis aiming at the results of field investigation to depict, conclude and analysis the dialect vocabulary system. This thesis includes five section.Chapter one, Introduction. This chapter introduces the development of the history, culture and some basic case of this city, then states the research status, purpose and approaches, etc.Chapter two, The overview of Lichuan dialect. This section analyzes the initial, vowel and tone of this dialect from three aspect which are phonetics, vocabulary and grammar. Then depicts the basic vocabulary, general vocabulary and the unique features of this dialect’s grammar.Chapter three, Word list of Lichuan dialect. This thesis according to the The Word List of Dialect Investigation, and then concludes and classified the collected documents. In addition, adding some other dialect word of Lichuan dialect and the example sentence of these words. This section can overall reveal the features of Lichuan vocabulary.Chapter four, The features of Lichuan dialect. This part depicts some words and phrases which contains the most local features.Chapter five, The vocabulary and culture of Lichuan dialect. Through these word, we can see the rich culture of this region. In return, through these culture, we also can understand the connotation of these words.Chapter six, Conclusion. Through the analysis of the five parts before, the section gets a conclusion about them.
