The Construction Of Neo-Confucianism Under Hu Hong’s Theory Of Nature Is The Basis Of All Under Heaven

Hu Hong was a famous philosopher in the middle period of Song Dynasty,who was also a terminator of Northern Song Dynasty and a pathfinder of Southern Song Dynasty.His theory is not just generalize predecessors thought. He is committed to Nature in the background of Neo-confucianism. His main thought is focus on the relationship about Qi,Li,Nature and Mind and put these concepts re-sort and creative transformation. His theory characteristic is all about nature and become a system oneself, opening a nature system of’ontology-cultivate-state’.The paper contains four parts:the first part,Hu Hong’s life and reasons for my research;the second part,Nature is the foundation of the world;the third part,only benevolent can be achieved the state of thing-in-itself;the forth part,use our talent to help everyone not only in good conditions but also in bad circumstances.The first part,Hu Hong’s life and reasons for my research.This part first introduces Hu Hong’s life,including his experience and achievement,then overall summarized the strength and weakness of researches of Hu Hong’s theory,and lastly to explain the reason why I choose this topic.The second part,Nature is the foundation of the world.Hu Hong’s Nature theory is different from the other neo-confucianism and own himself the most special place.This part first elaborated his thoughts origin.His thinking is derived from the family tradition of Chun Qiu,also cannot leave the epoch issue In the era of his life.The age in which he lived is a modification era from classics of Han and Tang Dynasty to neo-confucianism of Song Dynasty.Next we discusses the true meaning of his Nature.The article points out,Nature is the foundation of the world which has its special implication.Nature is not the same as Qi and Li on the concept of ontology.In his ontology,Hu Hong discusses the relationships between Nature and Qi,Nature and substance,Nature and Mind,also talking about that nature is good or evil. We hold the opinion that the highest ontology is no longer the heaven but nature in our body in Hu Hong’s theory.It is well established human values among the world and the whole theoretical system is based on this point.The third part,only benevolent can be achieved the state of thing-in-itself.Hu Hong’s nature ontology and the theory of cultivation is connected in a consistent fashion. This part will focus on the theory of cultivation.Hu Hong think that mind is the unity of Subject and body,it likes a bridge between nature and life.Mind has subjective activity,so We should give full play to the role of mind. We should do everything with all our heart and with all our soul. It is possible to achieve authenticity when using mind’s conscious dynamic role.We all have the moral original intention,however,the moral original intention often obscured by desires and feelings.It is necessary to eliminate excess feelings and desires.The key point of Hu Hong’s theory of self-cultivation is understanding benevolence.The article points out that human as the subject of life is important in revealing the mysteries of the universe, communicating with heaven and serving overall world.The forth part,use our talent to help everyone not only in good conditions but also in bad circumstances.Nature is the foundation of the world, human living between heaven and earth, so only human can reveal everything in the universe,only human can understand the natural state of the universe.Use our talent to help everyone not only in good conditions but also in bad circumstances.It is not only Hu Hong’s self-expectation,but also a social desirability.The article points out that everyone has a perfect life.Everyone is as good as a saint or a king,we should consciously take on all about the world.We need to care about everything pro around us,no matter it’s good or bad.We’re a people who don’t give up-who do big things, who shape our own destiny. Hu Hong uses the first person ’I’ to establish the value of life with life confidence and visionary.He also always shows to cherish and care for all of life, the meaning that most perfect interpretation of people spirit between the heaven and earth.He also reveals the true meaning of life that who we are deeply.Thus his philosophy construction is not in common and becoming a really knowledge that the whole world of life should to learn.
