In May 1934. the Xuewen Monthly founded in Peking, which lasted four issues.As an important literary journal during the Crescent School differentiation, Xuewen Monthly is the strong inheritance of the Crescent school literature, especially on poetry. Simultaneously, Xuewen plays a significant role in promoting and facilitating the development of two literary trends, Jing School literature and Modernism literature.However, due to the short foundation and small scale, few academic studies choose to focous on it.This paper determines the research theme of Xuewen Monthly, analysing the survival environment,and germinal course, published performance personality. The paper aims at revealing out its features and literature value in Crescent sent, Jing School literature, and modern doctrine literature development. According to the comprehensive survey,the paper aims to rich the theoretical research and close reading on on Xuewen Monthly, providing new researchs results of the 30 generation new metrical Poetics, and Jing School literature, and Modern doctrine literatureThis paper combines the method of close reading and theoretical research, starting from the text, probing the literary concept and significance of Xuewen Monthly, from four levels.This paper is divided into four parts, as follows:In the first chapter, traces the development process of Xuewen Monthly, expounding from the background and literary status, publications location and cover design, he story of its founding.The second chapter, combs the performance of the Xuewen Monthly, analyze its writers groups, carding section and personality.The third chapter through the case study,discusses the status on how the Xuewen Monthly heritageing the Crescent thought and promoting the development of Jing School literary, analyzing the contribution to "Crescent" new metrical poetry and Jing school novels.The last chapter including the exploration of the status anf value of Xuewen Monthly on Chinese Modern Literature, especially on poetry, the analysis of reasons for choosing its modernity position, through the case study, researching how Xuewen Monthly promoting the change 30s、40s on Modernist poetry.
