As an postgraduate student majoring in Teaching of Chinese as a Second Language in Soochow University,I had an internship in Laos from August 31, 2015 to January 24, 2016. During that period of time, I was mainly responsible for beginners during language training. Through teaching practice and questionnaire, I got a lot of reliable and first-hand information. I discussed the problems of short-termed beginners in pronunciation, vocabulary, Chinese characters and culture.I hope to put forward relevant teaching suggestions.This paper aims for short-termed beginners in Soochow University in Laos. The core of the study is about the difficulties on pronunciation, vocabulary, Chinese characters and culture, thus to analyze relevant teaching strategies and to strengthen teaching effectiveness.Through specific teaching cases presented, and with the combination of the theoretical analysis and teaching practice, I tried to explore more effective teaching programs.This paper based on the difficulties of the short-termed Chinese learning beginners of Soochow University in Laos, aimed at improving the quality of teaching beginners on short-termed Chinese courses in Soochow University in Laos, hoping to provide some references for teaching beginners. and to provide some inspirations on teaching short-termed beginners abroad.
