The East and the West because of the huge difference in geography, philosophy, thought and aesthetic psychology characteristics, so that there is a huge difference in two world’s arts and culture. There are mainly ―China fever ‖ in 17 th and 18 th century and ―Japan fever‖ in late 19 th century of Oriental art exchanges in European history. Therefore, this article is focuse on the influence of East Asian art in East art. The emergence of ―China fever‖ was the most significant achievement of exchange between Chinese and Western art. Later, ―Japan fever‖ appeared in Europe has its specific historical reasons. There are also have some more subjective reasons for Japan to easier got favored from european than China. Japannese Ukiyo-e’s impact on the 19 tn Western painting from the beginning of Impressionism to Post- Impressionism, then to other Modernist art schools, By way of examples argumentation, author can discusses the influence of Japannese Ukiyo-e paintings in Western art of this period. After these western artists has made some personal artistic achievement, then turn european painting of this period to advance to a new historical stage. Thus speeding up the process of modernization of Western art.The inspiration we can get from above is,scholarsof contemporary art should promote domestic excellent culture,but also be good at receiveing and absorbing other nation’s cultural.to be open,to be more good at art field.
