The Chinese "you"-structures are very expressive and variously patterned 。“you”-structure appears very early in TCFL and are one of the most important patterns, penetrating both the primary and intermediate learning stages in TCFL. Among them, the possessive "you"-structure first appeared, and it is the basis of the other “you”-structures. However, the foreign students’ mastery of this structure is not ideal. They often repeat some seemingly simple mistakes on which few studies have focused.By investigating the present situation and the pattern classification of the “you”-structures in TCFL, the paper identifies the important position of possessive “you”-structure at the primary stage in TCFL. By way of questionnaire, the paper elaborates the foreign students’ acquisition of the “you” structure and the errors they committed. The paper investigates the differences between the “you”-structure and the other verb predicate sentences and also compares the Chinese-English similarities and differences of the compositions expressing possession, and sums up the causes of students’ errors. By understanding the cognitive "bounded" and "unbounded" realizations in the “you”-structures and also the tail focus characteristic of Chinese, the paper finally identifies the attributive problem of the possessive “you”-structure as the most difficult one in TCFL. Finally, by combining teaching practice, the paper puts forward some teaching strategies and designs a corresponding teaching plan, aiming to explore the effective teaching method.
