Indonesia is one of the countries which is possessed of the most ethnic Chinese people, as well as one of the countries which Chinese education is booming.Due to the influence of the mother tongue-Indonesian and the lacking knowledge of Chinese, Indonesian students will easily make the mistakes, such as omission, mis-adding, misuse of words and mis-order during the process of study. Therefore, to do the research of the common grammar biased error for Indonesian students is a crucial project of teaching Chinese as a second language.This paper analyses the situation of the Indonesian students’errors in the writing Chinese and speaking Chinese when they are learning Chinese as a second language.The research method are Inter-language Theory, Error Analysis Theory.Contrastive Analysis Theory and Model of Difficulty Degree Theory. The research object are the students of the Mandarin major in Malang State University.There are seven chapters in this paper.The first chapter is introduction. The second chapter illustrates Inter-language Theory, Error Analysis Theory and Contrastive Analysis Theory, as well as compares the common error in Chinese and Indonesian by using Model of Difficulty Degree Theory.The third chapter illustrates the types of errors, including omission, mis-adding, misuse of words and mis-order. The fourth chapter illustrates analysis the reasons of errors. The fifth chapter offers the strategies of teaching Chinese as a second language to the Indonesian students. The sixth chapter is epilogue and the last chapter are appendix, including all the 510 error sentences from Indonesian students.
