This report is a translation project, the original translation text comes from the Chinese book I want to go to Tibet. This report is selected from the first 10 chapters of the book consisting of the translation report material, which is a total of about 11000 words. I want to go to Tibet is a documentary literary work, mainly describing Zhongshan -Lhasa cycling adventure of Superman Outdoor Club in 2011. According to the language features of I want to go to Tibet, the report analyzes some representative cases of translation practice, summarizes the translation strategies of literary texts and shares the author’s translation experience. Despite of personal restrictions in this profession, the report can provide reference for literary texts translation.This report includes five chapters, the first chapter is the project introduction, introducing the project background, objectives, significance and the structure of the report. The second chapter is an introduction of the translation documents, including its source, contents and the linguistic features. The third chapter presents the preparation work and difficult points encountered in the course of translation, including the preparation process of translation, the Chinese characteristic words, idioms, and the difficulties of null subject sentence translation. The fourth chapter is a case analysis, exemplifying the representative cases of the text to discuss the translation strategies of literary text. The fifth chapter is a conclusion, indicating the translation experience in the process of the project and the efforts that still need to be made in the future.
