With economic development, the city has gradually become the dominant focus of competition, more and more managers realize the city and want to take advantage in the competition, it is necessary to obtain resources. As for the lack of material resources of the city, the city will be able to help the development of the brand into a resource, it becomes more important.For the evaluation of things past, people just rely on data support, but prefer their own personal feelings- emotional experience, it has become the standard measure of the merits of a more humane and personalized. Designed for the emotion, it is the development trend of modern design. The emotional design into urban brand visual design, to better tap the potential value of urban brand, improve people’s minds and favorability of the city. This means that a city no personality characteristics and emotional connotations city brand, first can not win people’s sympathy, can not get the public’s favor. City Brand visual design on people’s perception, feelings and attitudes have a huge influence, and even change the trajectory and direction of a city. If you do not seriously explore the city brand emotion, then extending the role of city brand will be greatly reduced.This paper introduces the research background city brand visual system, significance and status of purpose. Pointed out the current city brand visual design deficiencies exist, the study pointed out the direction. Secondly, the concept of urban brand and its visual system, the formation process, elaborate components, obtained city brand design significance of the existence and value. Thirdly, emotional exploration of urban brand design, emotional design from the three levels of urban brand visual system for analysis, in-depth thinking. Has shown signs so that people can get along and memories in the process, we are able to get the perfect sensory experience from all levels; within visual range and can unknowingly urban brand meaning and convey emotion associated to each intersection of people really achieve emotional harmony between man and the city. In addition, text design theory to guide practice, Hefei urban brand visual design system, create a new brand image in Hefei. Finally, the city established a brand designed to meet the emotional needs of people as the standard for the design point of view. Only with public recognition and resonance, real good city brand.
