Study On The Creation Of Xiangxi Metrical Poetry In New Era

As a representative of traditional Chinese culture, the creation of metrical poetry in the Western Hunan(Xiangxi) has a rich source. Since China’s reform and opening up, and with the return of traditional Chinese culture, the number of metrical poetry is increasing. In Tujia-Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Xiangxi, there emerged many creators of metrical poetry who are active in creation. Although most of their works are not so excellent, a systematic study of Xiangxi metrical poetry is of some significance.This paper starts from the study of metrical poetry’s origins and finds that Xiangxi is one of the sources of Chinese poetry and is also one of the places that inherit Chinese poetic tradition. Then this paper summarizes the status of metrical poetry in the new era. Xiangxi is considered to be the Poem Town, which is rarely found in history. For more than 30 years, much metrical poetry has been published. To this day, the development of metrical poetry has embarked on its normal track, forming an atmosphere in which the local government pays much attention, the creators strengthen and deepen their creation and poets find pleasure in poetry writing.Xiangxi metrical poetry is divided into four main categories that focus on different themes. Generally speaking, the metrical poetry in Xiangxi belongs to realism. These poets wrote to record big events, to praise the result of the opening policy, to attack the abnormal atmosphere of the society, to spread the culture and the beauty of their hometown, and more to express their own inner emotions and feelings and philosophy of life.In many works, it is not hard to find that these poets advocate the beauty of nature, pursue the mysteries of Xiangxi and express their humanistic feelings through their works. The natural scenery in Xiangxi is a gift to the local poets, which also makes the poetry in Xiangxi unique. These poets’ search for a deep spiritual world has a conscious agreement with the sorcery culture in Xiangxi, which is a major feature of the poetry in Xiangxi. In Xiangxi, the personal feelings of these poets are always connected with their natural and human contact, which is another feature of poetry in the new era of Xiangxi.
