Today’s world, culture forms become more and more diverse. For the purpose of inheriting and developing the Hui nationality folk dance, this paper discusses current situations of classroom teaching methods in practice. Based on the research on inherited rules, characteristics, and representative dancing vocabulary, the author believes that the "primitive ecology", "secondary ecology" and "re-ecology" are a closely connected process. Within this process, every link ensure the sustainability and balance of Hui dancing. Only by developing the classroom teaching of Hui nationality dancing can we promote those elements to choreographic pieces, in order to demonstrate Hui dancing comprehensively and thoroughly.The first chapter gives a brief overview of the Hui nationality culture and its folk dance and paves the way of Hui dancing classroom teaching. It summarizes the cultural characteristics, movement characteristics and aesthetic characteristics on the basis of its historical and cultural characteristics. The second chapter takes the Dancing School of Northwest University for Nationalities, which is located in the northwest of our country, as an example to make an analysis of the current inheriting and development process of classroom teaching of the Hui nationality folk dance, which is from the folk to classrooms and to the stage. The third chapter analyses the current situation of teaching the Hui nationality folk dance. The author lists the problems and difficulties of inheriting and development in classroom teaching, proposes appropriate measures to explore the potential and possibilities to move forward for the classroom teaching of the Hui nationality folk dance and provides theoretical basis for the future development of the Hui nationality folk dance.
