Tourism industry is one of the fastest developing industries in the world, it is still sunrise industry and facing a very good opportunity. The development of Yunnan Tourism Industry is always on the top. The famous historical city and nationality customs attract thousands of tourists from home and abroad, the materials introducing Yunnan tourism are uncountable but the English version of them are rare.WEISHAN TOURISM was edited by the Tourism Department of Weishan Yi and Hui Autonomous County, which introduces the history, culture, scenic spots, local residences, ethic customs and architectures in detail. The reporter is responsible for chapter one, Chapter two and parts of Chapter three. This translation report is based on the translation of WEISHAN TOURISM. The report is divided into four parts. The first part introduces the background and significance of the translation task, theme and textual analyses of the source text; the second part describes the translation process; the third part analyzes types of problems confronted and offers solutions; the last part provides a summary.Hence, the reporter thinks the English version of WEISHAN TOURISM will largely promote the development of Weishan tourism and culture. This is the first translation of this task, even there are a number of vocabularies never translated before and some vocabularies can not even be found, the translation has been finally achieved leaving some problems unsolved.
