Research On Component Differentiation Of The Regular Script Character In Sui Dynasty

The Sui dynasty is an important stage in the development of the regular script,sostudy oncomponent of the regular script of Sui dynasty is an important link in the study of ancient and modern Chinese characters configuration system.Due to the Dunhuang copy israrely left,while lots of stone carving materials have been well preserved,so stone carving materials become the preferred text in our research. Not only that,caving stone can preserveoriginal appearanceofChinesecharactersof Sui dynasty, providing us many reliable materials to study the characters of Sui.At present,the achievement of the research on regular script structure system is great,buttakingepitaph as materials, and devoting to analyze the component is rare. To solve this problem,under the guidance of the theory of Chinese character configuration,we make a research on the stone inscription componentsto summarize phenomena in the differentiation and merging of characters,and to discuss the reasons for the change of components.It is the first time to study the stone inscriptionin the field of text research, which under the guidance of the theory of Chinese character configuration and component.In order to make a detailed description of script writing system of Sui Dynasty,and explore the change rules and reasons of character components,we have done a lot of work。First of all, we use the Access database technology to summarize the previous research on the variant characters. Then we select the script epitaph 137 slices in Sui dynasty which are clear enough for study,and then under the guidanceofthe theory of Chinese characters structure,we make a systematically analysis on ofdifferentiation and mergingof the script component textby the segmentation of Sui Dynasty regular script epitaph rubbings, collection of model of written characters, collection and separation and analysis of variants.From which we explore the law reflectedby these phenomena, and summarize the cause ofchange of the script component.Through this research, we think that the differentiation and combination of components can be carried out simultaneously, and can also be unidirectional.Somecomponents are similar, but become same by writing, therefore resulting in the merging of components.At the same time,some components are not similar, writing allow them to differentiate a similar variant, resulting in the merging of components.Changes of Chinese characters are systematical.The differentiation andcombination of characters are not achieved overnight.It is affected by subjective and objective factors,is based on inheritance, traced by a variety of factors.It is the process that Chinese characters adjust their own deconstruction andaffect each other, which is happened gradually.Study on the script writing system has a great significance.First it can do favor to theexplainingof inscriptions,it can also provide materials for the study of the development of Chinese characters style font.Besides, it also provides a reference for the study of modern Chinese vocabulary and modern languages.
