Teaching Chinese characters has always played an important role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.As one of the common parts of Chinese characters,the "禾" part is a key and difficult point for Chinese learners.In teaching practice,we find that Chinese learners often make various mistakes when using the "禾" component.Therefore,it is necessary to pay attention to the teaching of "禾" components.In this study,we used statistical analysis to determine the 23 core "禾" characters that Chinese learners need to master most by analyzing the "Chinese Proficiency Vocabulary and Chinese Character Level Syllabus" and "New Practical Chinese Textbook","Chinese Tutorial" and "Development of Chinese Language".The 23 core "禾" characters that Chinese learners need to master most were identified.We also analyzed the phonetic and morphological meanings of "禾" characters in conjunction with books such as "Shuowen Jiezi","Chinese Dictionary" and "Dictionary of Chinese Character Form and Meaning Analysis",with the aim of providing methodological guidance for teaching implementation.According to the questionnaire of the " 禾 " component characters,the native speakers of Laotian language have misunderstood the strokes of the characters,such as the wrong shape of the strokes,the misplaced parts,the misuse of phonetic and morphological characters,and so on.Errors in the whole character.Based on the morphological,phonetic,and semantic characteristics of the "禾" characters and the errors of Lao students,we adopted reasonable teaching principles and teaching methods to design the teaching.Practice shows that through systematic learning,the error rate of "禾" component characters among native Laotian learners has been reduced.
