The application of national intangible cultural heritage is just an important means of protection, but the fundamental means of protection is keep living state in our life.This paper is based on the background of the study of folk culture, use the related theories of the intangible cultural heritage as the research foundation, with the perspective of intangible cultural heritage, to view Yunyang Phoenix Lantern Dance which a national intangible cultural heritage project.Through the literature material method, interview(interview recordings),questionnaire survey method, field survey method, with the connotation of "intangible cultural heritage", from the stage prop(type, material, shape), performing content, skills,performing the time and space, main organization and management group, performance connotation induction its evolution process, and from the whole evolution process summed up its inheritance and development for reference.Based on the analysis on the evolution, further study of the Yunyang Phoenix Lantern Dance heritage.
