On E-C Translation Of American Comics From The Perspective Of Dynamic Equivalence

The American comic has attracted numerous Chinese readers’ s interest since it entered the Chinese market. However, the translations of this kind of works are far from content. According to incomplete statistics, the related researches on American comics translation are few.This thesis mainly discusses the application of the dynamic equivalence theory in American comics translation in terms of specific examples from The Hardy Boys. Besides, the thesis also concentrates on how to deal with the style and language differences involved in American comic translation. However, being interesting is the foundation of America comics, so the important thing is that translators should make sure the Chinese version can be well accepted by Chinese readers. According to this, the present dissertation will put forward some pragmatic translation strageties for America comics translation in order to provide equivalent Chinese version for readers.
