Since 1970 s, scholars at home and abroad have conducted a lot of research on communication strategy in the field of foreign language teaching. In comparison, the related study of communication strategy in the field of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in China is relatively weak.This thesis is devoted to a systematic study on the influence factors of communication strategy. This study selected foreign latest communication strategy classification framework(Fraech & Kasper), adopting the method of questionnaire to study 157 students in the Xinjiang region,and using social science system software of SPSS 19.0 to compare and analysis the influence factors on the effects of communication strategy type and intensity changes. Based on this, considering the current factors at the same time that affect the communication strategy, such as age, gender, personality, nationality, mother tongue, learning condition and teacher factors are involved is more, the author only choose the Chinese level, motivation and conversational object which are seldom involved in the previous studies, and discuss their impact on the communication strategy.The study found that Chinese level directly affects the choice of the communication strategy. Three different levels of Chinese students in primary、intermediate,and advanced have significant differences on the use of communication strategy. And with a gradual increase in the degree of language, the use of communication strategy generally shows a "reduction" of the trend, in other words, the primary level learners use communication strategy was significantly higher than that of the intermediate level and advanced level learners.The primary level students tend to use more kinds of communication strategies.Research has shown that motivation have different impact on communication strategy. Integrative motivation has the greatest effect on communication strategy, instrumental motivation has an impact on the communication strategy is also very strong. At the same time, it is found that the more motivation the students have, the more they use the communication strategy.In each dimension of the influence of communication strategy, the influence of persistence, initiative and effort on communication strategy is larger, and the effect of attention is relatively small.The study also found that the conversational object also influences the use of Chinese learners’ communication strategy. In the conversation between teachers and students, the target language strategy is the use of high frequency strategy. In the student conversation, mother tongue strategy is widely used.Based on the results of the analysis, the author puts forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for Chinese learners and the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language, hoping that this research will have a certain reference value for improving the quality of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
