Pakistan is a neighbor of China and there is a strategic meaning for China’s Silk Road Economic Belt development. Meanwhile, the development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor has a significant meaning for Xinjiang and Pakistan. Under this background, the translation task would promote the development of Xinjiang to some extent and also can provide a reference for the development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. The translation task for the author is to translate a complete book written by a Pakistani. This book includes many aspects about Pakistan such as its history, geography, politics, economy, religion and society. The author not only just wants to state the facts, but also wants to guide readers to think about the current situation and the future of Pakistan.This report makes a review and conclusion about the translation task and also it is a display and an examine about the learning outcome of the master degree of the author. This report is planned according to the translation process. Firstly, the author tells about the social background and meaning of this translation task. Secondly, the preparation and time arrangement of the task are stated. Thirdly, the author introduces the translation theories and demonstrates the translation techniques and methods through the specific examples. Finally, the author summarizes the experiences and deficiency.During this translation practice, the author is guided by the German functional translation theories—the rule of Skopos Theory. The author makes the translation task guided by the the Skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule of Skopos Theory. Base on this, the author makes conclusions from lexical level and syntactical level. From lexical aspect, the author states the translation skills of common words and proper nouns, such as amplification. From syntactical aspect, the author states the translation techniques on passive voice sentence and compound sentence, such as conversion and restructuring.
