The Study Of Tea-Poems Of SuShi

The tea poetry,which originated from the combination of poem and tea culture.It has been a long time that the scholars in China like the tea and tea is considered as a image in poets’ works.As to the original poems,it is impossible to find them,but the number of poems about tea began to rise due to many rearons, the most important one of which was the smooth development of tea culture.During the song dynasty,with the boom of tea culture,the tea poetry got a great achievement.Su DongPo,who was a poet and a fan of tea,composed a larger number of tea-poems,then become a fabulous landscape in the history of poems in China as well as in the history of tea culture.In the opening chapter of this thesis, there has been a brisk introduction on background of SuShi ’s composition of tea-poems, including the development of the tea culture before BeiSong and during it,so did the tea poetry,all of which become the necessary conditions of SuShi ’s composition of the tea-poems.The second chapter is the main points of my thesis,therefore plenty of content emerges in this part.First and foremost,the tea poetry of SuShi depicted many types of tea and tea-things, and recorded thd choice of the water of boiling the tea,coupled with the selection of the atmosphere of tasting the tea, the prosperity of tea-house and his concern about the production of tea. Secondly, the tea poetry of SuShi described the activities of tea arts which contained boiling the tea,tea fight and rush-tea,meanwhile,DongPo discussed the custom and function and emotion of tea conveyed by his tea poetry.In the chapter 3,his tea poetry further showed his gentleman personality embraced deeply in his composition. We could hardly have difficulty to experience his integrity and detachment. In the second half of the chapter 3,this thesis studied the contemporary meaning of his tea poetry briefly,which mainly involved two aspects: one is that my study will carry forward the traditional Chinese culture,another is that the research of tea poetry can also alleviate and remove mental pressure of the contemporary.In short, I want to pry into the trait of the tea culture in the Northern Song Dynasty by trying to study SuShi’ s tea poetry,whereby we could know the gentleman personality of SuShi in a short distance.At last,I refresh the contemporary menaing of the research of SuShi’s tea poetry.
