Research On The Current Situation Of Folk Culture Communications Between China And Kyrgyzstan

In today’s world, as the economic globalization, political multi-polarization, and cultural diversity become an unstoppable trend, every country are thinking about their position in the "global village", including the political influence, economic potential, and cultural display. China, as the country in the second place in global economy, has been paying more and more attention to the promotion of cultural soft power in recent years. Kyrgyzstan is a country bordering China. More and more domestic scholars are focusing attention and research on Central Asian countries, in particular Kyrgyzstan, especially after the Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the Belt and Road Initiative. In this context, the title of this dissertation is selected as the topic of the research. As the ancient Chinese saying goes, “Amity between people holds the key to sound relations between states”. This research is focused on the current situation of the folk cultural exchange between China and Kyrgyzstan. We will give an analysis and summary, based on which the trend is predicted and some suggestions are proposed.The method of qualitative research is used in this paper. The paper can be divided into the following parts. The first part is the introduction, including the background, motivation and significance, the basic frame, and methods of the research. The second part is the description of the folk cultural exchanges in literature and art, sports, and education between China and Kyrgyzstan. The third part is the analysis of the status quo of the folk cultural exchanges, in which the content, the social repercussions, and the characteristics are analyzed. The fourth part is the analysis of the exchange path and trend, and by summing up the achievements and drawback of the folk cultural exchanges, some suggestion are proposed. The fifth part is the conclusion. With the great support of the governments and active participation of the people, folk cultural exchanges between China and Kyrgyzstan will be definitely more harmonious, and the relationship between the two countries and that between the people of the countries will be friendlier and friendlier.
