The massive public demonstrations, which erupted in West-Asian and North African countries have made many countries of Middle East fell into political turmoil,in which,Egypt is the only country of regime change of state in the five big powers in Middle East.Egypt’s powerful influence in Middle East in long time and the change’s typical made it became the core of Middle East’s political turmoil.The change of Egypt,which induced by a series of deep-seated reason will profoundly affect the original geopolitical pattern of Middle East.Possible new pattern in Middle East can generalize for:"two rise,three drop,one expand".The paper consists of four parts. The first part is the first chapter, which firstly puts forward the paper’s research background, significance, methods, the difficulties involving the research, train of thought, innovation, and reviews the achievements of the previous researchers on geopolitical theories and Middle East geopolitical research. The second part highlights the position of Egypt in the Middle East geopolitical situation through the multi-perspective demonstration of Egypt’s geopolitical position. The third part is the focus of this paper, including chapters three and four; it based on the analysis of Egypt’s political turmoil, expounds the influence of Egypt’s political turmoil on Middle East geopolitics in the four aspects of relations among major powers, the Arab-Israeli conflict, religious factions change and "strongman politics" decline. The last part gives summarization and predicts the future of Middle East geopolitical pattern.ChapterI:Introduction.It touches on the research background,research significance, contents and methods of the thesis. This part also discusses existing relevant research results at home and abroad, the innovation points, and key problems to be solved as well as the difficulties involving the research.Chapter Ⅱ:Egypt’s geopolitical position.This chapter shows Egypt’s geo-strategic position in the Middle East in an all-round manner through the analysis of the strategic position of the Suez Canal and the Sinai Peninsula and the description of geopolitical environment where Egypt stands in the Middle East, combined with contrast among the major powers in the Middle East horizontally, and demonstration on the old times and nowadays longitudinally.Chapter III:Elementary analysis of Egypt’s political turmoil. The part forecasts several political prospects of the Egypt’s political pattern in "the post-Mubarak era" through the analysis of the cause of the Egypt’s political turmoil in2011.Chapter IV:Influence of Egypt’s political turmoil on Middle-East geopolitics. It mainly talks about the influence of Egypt’s political turmoil on Middle East geopolitics in the four aspects of regional relations among major powers, ferocious Arab-Israeli conflict, religious factions change and "strongman politics" decline.Chapter V:Influence of Egypt’s political turmoil on the trend of Middle East geopolitical pattern.This chapter analyzes,summarizes and draws Middle East geopolitical map before and after Egypt’s political turmoil, and puts forward some suggestions on promoting peace process in the Middle East.The innovation points in this paper consist in the three aspects. First, take Egypt for example, it analyses the changes to the geopolitical pattern in the Middle East. Second, it gives a unique summary of Egypt’s geopolitical environment. Third, it analyses and forecasts the future trend of Middle East geopolitical pattern, and outlines a map which manifests Middle East geopolitical pattern before and after Egypt’s political turmoil.The deficiency of this paper is reflected as follows:first, as Geopolitics is a comprehensive discipline, it’s demanding for data’s selection and deletion in the study. It is difficult to meet the requirement comprehensive in the aspect of material. Second, limited by knowledge of the writer,it’s a kind of courage and attempt to select a difficult topic such as geopolitical pattern. Third, the research method follows traditional qualitative research methods. Fourth, it’s hard to make accurate prediction on intricate relations between Middle East countries, and the thesis just gives only rough forecasts.
