Improvement Of The Direct Electoral System Of Deputy To The People’s Congress

The Electoral System of the People’s Congress is an important part of the people’s congresssystem, reforming and improving the electoral system is critical to make the people’s congresssystem playing a better role in political life.This article takes Area H of Guangzhou’s direct election of the People’s Congress as anentry point. With author’s experience for these years working in District People’s Congress, heaims to analyze the problems in the establishment of electoral institutions, electorate districting,registration of voters, nomination and determination of candidates, as well as voting andcounting of the election, including the irrational election system, lack of election principle, andbeing negative to the process, etc. Finally, for the situation of the direct election of the DistrictPeople’s Congress of Area H, the author proposes some viable ways: first, normalize the methodof nominating and determining candidates, together with voting and counting of the election.also, reform the ways of electorate districting and registration of voters. And perfect supervisionprocedure of the election.
