The Xinjiang office of Eighth Route Army, like other Offices of the Eighth RouteArmy, is established by the Chinese Communist Party in the Anti-Japanese Warperiod for expanding the anti-Japanese national united front and for the establishmentof the rear area of the great war. The office has a certain particularity, not open, notlisting. Communist Party members do not openly and they cannot develop Partyorganization openly.Eighth Route Army Office in Xinjiang is leaded directly by the the SpecialRepresentative of the CPC Central Committee. But its activities have to be allowed bySheng Shicai——the leader of the Xinjiang authorities. Basically it is controlled bySheng Shicai. On the foundation of adhering to Sheng Shi cai’s "six" policies, the aimof the Eighth Route Army in Xinjiang office is to maintain Xinjiang always beingChina’s territory, to consolidate this important rear of the War of Resistance AgainstJapan and the international traffic arteries, and to promote social development inXinjiang region so that all ethnic groups people can lead a life of stabilization and theanti-Japanese national united front can be propagated and expanded.In the brief history of its establishment (1937-1942), under the guidance of aseries of guidelines, Eighth Route Army Office in Xinjiang undertook to strengthenthe education of Party members to construct Xinjiang, propagated the principles andpolicies of Resistance Against Japan of the Communist Party, raised and transferredthe frontline supplies,brought up the man of military and construction and receivedthe wounded inside and outside the party. Leaded by the Party representatives——Chen Yun, Deng Fa and Chen Tanqiu, the office expanded the anti-Japanesenational united front, supported the front of the War of Resistance Against Japan,promoted the construction of Xinjiang as a whole, and made a great contribution tothe victory of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.
