Investigation On The New Methods Of Ideological And Political Education In Rural Areas Of The North Of Guizhou Province

With the development of rural economy and society, livingstandards of peasants in Guizhou have been improved; thereforethe rural situation has changed significantly. With theimbalance in community interests, value confusion and hollowphenomenon due to the output of human resources, there is almostno cohesion countryside as a result, which makes ruralideological and political education in a great challenge. Howto deal with those current issues? How to enhance the actualeffect of ideological and political education? I think that weshould choose new and appropriate method of ideological andpolitical education according to the present rural work goalsso as to build new socialist countryside.The Party Central Committee put forward that theconstruction of new socialist countryside should be advancedaccording to the requirements of "product development, livingin affluence, custom civilization, appearance neatness andmanaging democracy." I discovered that with the new methods ofideological and political education in rural areas of northGuizhou, the rural governance of northern Guizhou are in goodorder, the outdated ideas there have been eliminated, farmers’thoughts and consciousness are high, the local customs are wellinherited and people are willing to participate in buildingtheir homeland personally. The investigation takes theconstruction of "Wealth, Study, Joy and Beauty in Farmyard" ofMeitan and Yuqiong counties as examples, to prove the apparenteffect of new methods in rural ideological and politicaleducation. This paper is divided into four parts to researchon the new methods of ideological and political education inrural areas of north Guizhou.The first part analyses the aspects of research background,research significance, research overview and research design,giving answers to such questions like "why to choose the new methods of ideological and political education in northGuizhou?""What is the significance?" and so on. It illustratesthat the new methods of ideological and political educationhave both theoretical and practical significance to theconstruction of new socialist countryside. This part is thelogical starting point of this paper.The second part mainly focuses on the status of ideologicaland political education in rural areas of north Guizhou.Itstarts from research target, investigating the rural areas innorth Guizhou and exploring the actual effect of ideologicaland political education work. Through field research, it graspsthe existent problems and makes certain attribution analysis.It explains the necessity of the research.The third part explores the different methods ofideological and political education in rural areas of northGuizhou applied in the past and present thus prove that eachmethod’s existing is rational and necessary. This part isconsidered as the theoretical foundation for the latterdiscussion. It tries to find new theoretical explanation tocope with the new rural situation which the traditionalideological and political education cannot do.The fourth part takes the construction of "Wealth, Study,Joy and Beauty in Farmyard" of Meitan and Yuqiong counties asexamples, to illustrate the new methods used in the process andverify its effectiveness. It especially focuses on thepractical effects of different models in the process tomaintain the rural social development. It also provides somenecessary theoretical basis.The fifth part is the distillation of this paper. Bysearching on the application of new methods in the constructionof "Wealth, Study, Joy and Beauty in Farmyard", it sums up thepractical value of new methods. This part demonstrates that theuse of new methods leads to the wide spread of socialist corevalues in rural areas of north Guizhou, in the meantime, it provides an important sample for building new socialistcountryside of China as well.
