Research On Rural Grass-roots Democracy Construction Problems In The New Period

The rural grassroots democracy construction is an important part in the construction ofChinese-style socialism democratic politics. Since the founding of new China, the party and thestate has always attached great importance to rural grass-roots democracy construction, andtaken the promotion of rural grass-roots democracy construction and protection of people’srights as organic parts of strengthening the construction of socialist democracy. At present,grass-roots democracy construction in our country has made remarkable achievements, not onlypromoting the economic development of rural areas, but maintaining the social stability in ruralareas. However, due to the start of rural grassroots democracy construction in China is relativelylate and being impeded by social factors, such as policy, economy, culture and so on, at present,there are many problems occur during rural grassroots democracy construction in China, whichneed us to explore and find feasible solutions.This paper is based on Marxism-Leninism theory of democracy, focuses on present stagerural grassroots democracy development of our country, uses the literature and empiricalanalysis, making every effort to illustrate the development of rural grassroots democracyconstruction in China from the aspects of theory and practice. This paper presents theachievement we got and problems occurs in rural grassroots democracy construction in China,analyzes the factors that affect the rural grassroots democracy construction, and put forwardsome corresponding solutions.This paper is divided into four parts: the first part is the introduction, mainly introduces theresearch background, research purpose and significance, research status, basic methods andinnovations. The second part is the overview of rural grassroots democracy construction conceptin the new period, and its main content is rural grassroots democracy construction connotationand content, interrelated discourse of classical writers as well as the development of ruralgrassroots democracy in China. The third part is about the present situation and problemanalysis of rural grassroots democracy construction in the new period, including itsachievements, problems the influencing factors. The last part is about the strategies to strengthenthe construction of rural grassroots democracy in the new period, such as focusing on overallthoughts of rural grassroots democracy construction, strengthening the development of ruralgrassroots democracy system construction, improving grassroots organizations working style, promoting the economic development of rural areas and improving the whole quality of the ruralmasses.
