Following China’s one-child policy in the1970s, a new group of people, the one-childlosers, have appeared in the society. Because they lose their only child, their some familyfunctions will disappear. The family development ability of parents who lost their only childhas become another concerned problem in the course of the construction of socialistharmonious society. For the existence of one-child losers, many experts and scholars who careabout this issue for a long time have conducted the investigation and study and made anurgent appeal. As China’s first generation of only children close to the age of thirty years,parents has gradually entered the old stage, the one-child becomes the family’s only hopenaturally. When the one-child die, because of different reasons, this means the only hope isshattered in the family. The family development ability of parents who lost their only childneeds to be focused, and it needs government departments’ and the society’s attention andassistance. The family development ability of parents who lost their only child should toensure the healthy development of social harmony. And this problem or the solution is notonly related to our country development and social stability, but also related to theeffectiveness of building a well-off society in an all-round way. Therefore, research the familydevelopment ability of parents who lost their only child and give them more care and help canproduce a profound effect on the economy of our country. Based on a domestic analysis ofresults, this paper gave investigation data and case interviews as the main research methods ofNanchang city in Jiangxi province of one-child losers, conducted field research.
