The Fifth Plenary Session Gazette of the 18th Session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 2015 proposed "a couple can have second child and actively deal with an ageing population action", which means that the one-child policy implemented for 35 years formally withdrew from the historical stage.Since the implementation of family planning policy, the rapid growth of our population has been effectively controlled, and economy has developed rapidly. The uniqueness of one-child caused the one-child family to become the "risky family". As one-child family lost their child, "one-child-lost family" occurred in the public eye, and become the focus of attention."One-child-lost family" is a kind of special groups. As a product of China's one-child policy, the aging problem should be paid much attention by the government and the society. So it is an important subject in front of us on how to help this group solve the worries in later life. This article used the method of literature review, questionnaire method, interview method, and took C town, Putuo district in Shanghai as an example. It is divided into five chapters to study and discuss aging problem of "one-child-lost family".The first chapter introduced the background, research significance, the domestic and foreign literature review, etc. The second chapter, defined the relevant concepts of family lost the only one child and introduced the relevant theoretical basis. The third chapter generalized the characteristics and demands of one-child-lost family. And the paper took C town, Putuo district in Shanghai as an example, and the 140 old men in a town as research samples, to analyze the family structures and the present situation of life. The fourth chapter summarized the family endowment demand and guarantee policy of one-child-lost family, and analyzed the existing problems between the each other. The fifth chapter policy suggestions based on the above study to solve the problem of supporting old people.Main conclusions:both country and provinces and cities issued a series of protection and assistance policy for one-child-lost family, and grass-roots government also took a series of effective measures to meet the family's economic demand, and demand of supporting the old people as far as possible. But with the improvement of right-protection awareness and worries about the future in later life, they have higher demand and expectation on the government. Therefore, the government can improve and optimize protection and assistance policy for these families lost only one child from legal protection, economic benefits, life care, medical support, spiritual comfort.
