Research On Problems And Countermeasures Of China’s Current Rural Petition

Petition is a social system with Chinese characteristics, it holds the contact withthe masses, democratic supervision, conflict mediation, public decision-making andfeedback, comprehensive coordination, and many other social functions. Petitionsystem plays an active and important role in maintaining social stability and practicalpolitics. At the same time, China’s petition work is also facing unprecedented pressure,especially in the current and rapid process of national transformation and urbanization,because of various limiting factors, farmers’ interests are infracted by others, and theygradually become the main force in the petition work. They are petition system’sresponsibilities and obligations to maintaining social stability difficult issues haveseriously hindered the further development of the work.In this paper, I draw on decades of petition work achievements and problems,combined with the County of Shanxi P country X Village surveys and statistical data,detailed describe the current operating status of the petition mechanism in rural areasof China, the current situation. Rational analyze the plight of China’s rural petitionfrom3aspects: economy, politics and culture. Then revealing some problems ofpetition system in rural areas of China, and providing some personal solutions andsuggestions to support petition works in rural areas. At the same time, It could beuseful to adjust agricultural policy and working methods for the rural grassrootsworkers timely, to resolve the contradictions effectively, so as to promote theharmonious development of rural social stably.
