Study On The Social Management Function Of Ideological And Political Education

Ideological and political education of social management doesn’t refer to a newfeature, but a special feature which is generated by social management.The specificfunction of ideological and political education is reflected in the social management.The social management function is mainly reflected in the following aspects:educational function--promoting social management self-development; coordinationfunction---saving social management costs; ensuring functions---maintaining thesocial management environment harmonious and stable; aggregation function---forming a joint force of social management and so on. The ideological and politicaleducation and social management share the dialectical relationship between unity andthey tend to blend with the development of society. The ideological and politicaleducation to play social management function can solve the problems that theideological and political education and social management encountered. At this stage,the social management function of ideological and political education develops to acertain degree. However, because of philosophy lag and unscientific mechanism andstiff methods, there are so many problems in playing the social management functionsof ideological and political education. Through the historical survey of socialmanagement functions of the ideological and political education, lessons learned,combined with the actual socialism with Chinese characteristics, in order to play itssocial management measures better we should foster the new concept of ideologicaland political education which is in line with social development. And we should alsotry our best to earnestly implement the concepts of ideological and political education,as well as run the mechanism of ideological and political education scientifically, andapply the methods of ideological and political education flexibly etc.
