The rise of the middle class is an inalienable part of the market economy anddevelopment of commodity society. To a certain extent, the social and economic developmentwas finally promoted the maturation and growth of the middle class. The middle class is aproduct of China’s economic, political and social transformation after the reform and openingup. Middle class has not only promoted the development of the market economy, democracyand progress, but is also the representative of the advanced science technology and the culture.The paper’s main meaning is about the middle class and its impact on the politicaldemocratization, we elaborates the basic theory of concepts, such as the middle class, politicaldemocratization; we summarize and analysis the studies of Aristotle, Tocqueville, Marx andothers whose study is base on the definition of middle class, political democracy and therelationship between the two profiles. To analyze social background and define thecharacteristics of the Chinese middle class and political democratization process, we focus onthe middle class and the relationship with political democracy in China. By analyze thespecialty and political aspirations of the Chinese middle class and the request of the politicaldemocratization in China, we can say it is possible for us the build a benignant developmentof political democratization and middle class.At this present stage, the development of the middle class in China started relativelylate, the size is relatively small, theories of the middle class is relatively thin. It is verynecessary to focus on definition scope of China’s middle class and its impact on China’spolitical democratization. My paper will clear the basic theory and develope context of thebackground, scale, definition standard, specificity of the middle class and the Politicaldemocratization theoretically; To propose the policy reference to expand the scale of themiddle class in practice, by the proper guidance to achieve the democratization of the middleclass more positive impact on the political democratization, to abatement and reduce potentialnegative effects. In the21st century, the economic globalization, political democracy andmiddle class development presents an almost synchronous development trend from west to east, and its relationship with the increasingly close with political democratization. How toexpand the proportion of the middle class, to achieve the social structure change from the"pyramid" to the "olive" successfully is of great significance to promote China’s politicaldemocratization process continues to advance.
