The United States is the most developed country of its interestgroup politics,the number of interest groups is large,coveringa wide range and influential. The research is very valuable.Thedevelopment of interest groups have very close relationship withthe social problem.Affected by the history,the traditionalculture and the law.The United States is a country which can tradefirearms freely. However, the free trading of firearms lead to theviolence. This phenomenon has already became a terrible socialproblem of American.In spite of this,the gun control movement ofUnited States still can’t make progress. As this phenomenon, theinterest groups often obstruct the movement of gun control.InAmerican,there are a lot of interest groups related tofirearms.The NRA(National Rifle Association) is the largestsingle-issue interest groups of American,it uses a lot of meansto participate in the power system of the United States in the guncontrol movement.So the gun control movement oftenfail.Therefore,the NRA has representative.The political of United States almost can be considered a kindof interest group politics. As an important role of politicalparticipation,the interest groups can influence the policy.Thispaper will analysis the political participation behavior of interest groups from different angles.At the same time, this paperwill use the NRA as an single case that can be studiedobjectively,that is good to consist with the case and the all over.All of this can help us to understand the interest group politicsof United Stated,we also can be aware of the advantage and thedisadvantage of the interest group politics.The main patr of thispaper includes the following four parts:1The definition of interest group and political participationbehavior.2The National Rifle Association and the presentsituation of American gun control.3The political participationof the NRA.Firstly,this chapter will introduce the advantages ofpolitical participation of the NRA.4The influence on the Americanpolitics of the American interest groups.Although the research on the political participation behaviorof NRA.we can know more about American political life.This casehelps us know the advantages and disadvantages of American interestgroup politics, and recognize the impact on American democraticpolitics,so that we can understand the essence of Americademocracy.
