Enters for the21st century, new media tools are emerging in an endless stream due to thefast development of the new media technology. All industries itched to open up a newdevelopment path with that. At present, our country in the period of important strategicopportunities for economic and social development, this is a critical period being both full ofopportunities and risks, which also means that charity organizations have entered a goldenperiod of development. The connection of charitable organizations and new media willproduce a new research hotspot and a new practice upsurge.Given this background, the author utilizes comprehensively various research methods anddisciplines related to the theory to summarize the basic situation of new media practice incharitable organizations at home. The study found that our charitable organizations have notgiven enough attention to the new media applications in3major operations, and theinteractive function of new media has not been used effectively. For the above problems, thethesis presents the feasible new media application strategy for charitable organizations, andthe correct attitude of new media practices. At last, the author propounds an applicationpattern for most organizations’ reference.The first part mainly defines the research concepts, constructs the research frameworkand emphasis, which is based on carding the current situation of new media use at home andabroad. Then, author gets data and analysis of the empirical results by a survey of14charitable organizations. The third part analyzes the features of new media applications of WuZhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation, summed up the effective experience of thenew media practice. In the fourth part, in the light of the practical problems facing theapplication of new media, according to the analysis of the empirical research and case study,the author put forward feasible suggestions for the new media applications of charitableorganizations.
