Research On The Work Of Chinese Communist Party About Transforming People’s Sentiment Of The Anti-Soviet And Pro-American At Early Days Of The New State

Mao Zedong put forward the "one-sided"policy in the June30,1949,published in a text named"On the people’s democratic dictatorship,"which made it clear that "one-sided policy, as Sun’s four decades experience and the Communist Party28years experience have taught us,to achieve victory and consolidate the victory we must be one-sided.Forty years and twenty-eight years of experience tell us that Chinese people either backward to side of imperialism,or backward to side of socialism, without exception. Sitting on the fence is impossible, there is no the third Way."That indicated CCP chose to join the socialist camp,and fully backward to Soviet.In Chinese modern history, many places were influenced by capitalism more or less, it was difficult for people to accept socialism in a short time, and the Shanghai citizens strongly manifested the skepticism to the Soviet Union because of influencing by the western culture deeply. In order to encourage them to accept the socialist system and the Communist Party of China,and also for better carrying out social reform movement,the Communist Party of China launched a series of work to transform the attitude of pro-American and anti-Soviet of Shanghai citizens.This paper focuses on the work of CCP to transform the attitude of pro-American and anti-Soviet of Shanghai citizens at the early days of foundation of PRC under the background of CCP of implying the pro-Soviet policy and Shanghai people’s cognition inconsistent with the overall policy-oriented at the early days of foundation of PRC. The main content of the work is to help the people of Shanghai to eliminate the doubts about the Soviet Union and the greatness of the Soviet Union and the socialist system,as well as cultivate their awareness of American nature of imperialism.In the course, through a variety of ways of propaganda and education in people’s lives and combining different social movements, like pro-Soviet movement and Korean War,CCP tried to transformed the Shanghai people’anti-Soviet and pro-American sentiment finally, which played a very important role for other social movements and the construction in Shanghai.Of course, there are some deficiencies,extremely exaggerated propaganda and excessive operation of the administration mode also brought some negative effects.Political propaganda is the powerful political advantage of CCP, which was the effective approach at the New Democratic Revolution, and it was also a strong call to build socialism after the foundation of PRC.The research in this paper try to reveal how Chinese Communist Party in the earlier years of PRC contributed to the Shanghai people’s recognition of the ruling party and the socialist system through political advocacy and education, which can probably provide some inspiration and reference for contemporary Chinese Communist Party to promote civil political identity and establish a better image.
