The Study Between Social Capital And The Growth Of Civic Culture In China

As the important resources, social capital is mainly consists of trust, network of socialparticipation and mutual norms, composed of a series of factors as collection system. Socialcapital can enhances social trust, attract the public to participate in the political construction,promote the social stability and the construction of democratic politics. As a result, more andmore scholars began to study social capital. At present, our country is in a stage of profoundsocial change, some negative phenomena appeared in the process of the civic culture, such asweak consciousness of political participation, lack of political subject consciousness, the lackof thought of democracy and legality, and so on. All these will be solved through the analysis ofthe social capital theory. The paper from political perspective promotes the growth of the civicculture.This paper fully realizes social capital influence on the growth and cultivation of civicculture, combined with the growth situation of civic culture, and then discusses generalfeasibility of cultivating civic culture.
