After taking office, U.S.President Barack Obama opened a new round of global diplomacy deployment. In order to consolidate the the ability to control and the interests of the United States and U.S. allies in the Asia Pacific region, the U.S. government must draw more countries into this camp. Meanwhile, with its strategic location, rich natural resources and huge market potential, Myanmar successfully made its way to the U.S.diplomatic line of sight. After the Obama administration took office, the U.S. government slows the sanctions against Myanmar and adopted a pragmatic policy of engagement to promote political democratization in Myanmar through exchanges and negotiations, inhibit the ethnic armed conflicts between muslims and buddhists. At the same time, financial help come to Myanmar for economic, military and cultural construction. The adjustments of Myanmar policy is a long process and will proceed with the development of the world situation, which will have a huge impact on China and the Asia-Pacific region.
