Research On Liu Shaoqi’s Party Spirit Training Thought

Comrade Liu Shaoqi is a great Marxist, proletarian revolutionist，statesman and theorist. He is one of the main Party and state leaders and thefounding fathers of the People’s Republic of China. Also, he is an importantmember of Mao Zedong at the core of the first generation central collectiveleadership. Comrade Liu Shaoqi made great contribution to the formation anddevelopment of Mao Zedong Thought. His series of great thoughts fullydemonstrate the foresight as a great statesmen and theorists. The partyconstruction theory plays an important role in his construction, especially theparty spirit training thought, which filled up the blank of Marxist partyconstruction theory of building the party from theories and thoughts. LiuShaoqi’s party spirit training thought is both an important part of the theorysystem about party construction of Mao Zedong Thought and a shinning pearlof the Marxist theory treasure house.In this new era of building a well-off society in an all-round way andachieving socialist modernization, it has practical significance that we studyLiu Shaoqi’s party spirit training thought comprehensively and systematically,in order to reinforce party spirit, maintain advanced nature and purity amongall Party members, strengthen the construction of the party’s ruling capacity,and promote the new great project of party construction. The author summarizes its main theoreticalcharacteristics, including an organic unity of materialism and dialectics,unique point of view on the party construction, the combination of theoretical study and thought reformation, theoretical study and revolutionary practice,education management and individual consciousness, promote upright andagainst pathogens, Marxism and Chinese traditional culture. Finally, thispaper probes into its historical status and significance. The author holds thatLiu Shaoqi’s party spirit thought is the inheritance and development of theMarxist dialectical epistemology, party building theory of Marxism, Chinesetraditional culture. Comrade Liu Shaoqi has told us, the ruling party muststrengthen the party spirit to shoulder the historical task. Theoretical studyand social practice are basic approach of the party members to strengthen theparty spirit exercise and their tutelage. It is the basic standard for partymembers to keep the purity of proletariat vanguard during cultivating partyspirit all the time.
