Building Up A New Type Of Sino-U.S. Big Power Relations

On February28,1972published the "Shanghai Communique" is a great invention, the two sides had begun the process of normalization of the relations between big powers. Forty-two years, rapid development of china-us relations, the two sides have become interdependent partner, fusion degree deepen each other’s interests. In the complicated and changeable international situation, the cooperation between China and the United States is more urgent and important. New historical period, the two sides should keep pace with The Times, with innovative thinking, practical action, to break the traditional powers in history always conflict relationship, based on the current, with a long-term view, make China and the United States along the partner relations, gradually moving towards new powers relations actively, example for the world’s superpower multilateral and bilateral relations.In this paper, based on new type of power relations theory, in this paper and on the basis of the difference between the traditional the relations between big powers, and the United States from China in recent years in terms of economy, global climate change, the new problems and the current situation of china-us relations in the impact of sino-us relations as the background, to discuss the possibility to establish a new type of power relationship and the challenges facing China and the United States. In this new situation, the two sides should adhere to from a strategic and long-term perspective to grasp the relations between the two countries, with a positive attitude and vision to promote dialogue and cooperation, practical new type of power relations theory, insist on equality, mutual trust and tolerance, win-win cooperation, the guiding principles of choosing the right policy, conform to the interests of the two peoples, the Chinese government will broaden areas of cooperation with the U. S. government, properly handle differences, so as to promote China and the United States to establish long-term stable healthy development of the new type of power relations.This article altogether is divided into four parts for the above problems are analyzed.The first part is the introduction part, mainly introduced in this paper, the purpose and significance of topics, and of china-us relations, new literatures in the field of power relations theory combing summarized and put forward their own innovations and shortcomings. At the same time, based on the above analysis in this paper, the article writing ideas and methods.The second part describes the background, the new type of power relations theory and in the more traditional power relationship with new powers on the basis of summarizing the connotation of the new type of power relations. The third part based on the analysis of china-us relations in the world economy and climate change, on the basis of the new changes of the United States to return to the asia-pacific, the impact of China’s rise, and as an opportunity to establish the new power relations, to construct a harmonious world stability.The fourth part, based on the above analysis it is concluded that the possibilities of establishing new type of power relations and path selection, win-win cooperation in the new power relations is an inevitable trend in the development of china-us relations. Stand at a new starting point, to enhance strategic mutual trust, mutual respect, cooperation and win-win development of the new power relations, has the basic consensus.
