On The Popularization Of Marxism Among The Peasantry During The Period Of Zuo Youjiang Revolutionary Base Area

China’s national conditions determined that the Chinese revolution center should shift from the big cities to the rural areas, and take a path of "encircling the cities from rural areas". Which also determined that the CPC must develop the revolutionary forces in the rural areas and regard arising the revolutionary enthusiasm of peasantry as CPC’s main task to promote the Marxism’s popularization among the peasantry in the wartime.Zuo Youjiang Revolutionary Base Area (1929-1932) is one of the important base areas built by the Communist Party of China in the agrarian revolution time. In the process of establishing and consolidating development of the revolutionary bases, the CPC combined with local revolution practice and realized peasants’urgent desire to own land. After carefully analyzing the composition of the peasantry in Zuo Youjiang area, the CPC took developing land revolution and solving the land problem for farmers to arise the revolutionary enthusiasm of peasantry. Meanwhile, the CPC also did some other works, like political enlightenment, revolution theory propaganda and advocacy of the new social customs. And various methods to publicize the thought of CPC to extensively promote the Marxism’s popularization among the peasantry were adopted, including organizing professional propaganda teams, setting up schools, publishing newspapers and magazines and so on. Those methods obtained remarkable achievements. The masses’awareness of their own revolutionary task, the revolutionary road, and their understanding of land issues have increased significantly, their revolutionary enthusiasm also has been aroused, they were eager to join the army and develop production to support revolution.Through analyzing the historical documents, some experiences still have references for promoting Marxism’s popularization among the peasantry, as well as for solving the problems of agriculture, rural areas and farmers at present. The first one is to solve the problems which concerns much about the peasants interests, the second one is to use the plain language expressions combined with appropriate forms.
