The children left-behind in rural areas has become a hot topic of society, theirlearning environment and the growth environment has been greatly affected because ofthe lack of affection and comprehensive supervision. Although the state and society hasprovided much support for the children left-behind in rural areas from the educationallevel, psychological intervention and physical care and other aspects, their spiritual worldissues are ignored,such as the rural culture left lonely, single cultural learning both leadtheir spiritual home lacking and loneliness. How to correctly guide and improve thecultural life of rural remaining children is a matter of research which are urgently needed.In this context, the academics has discussed on cultural care of children left-behindin rural areas from sociology, pedagogy, psychology and other professional perspective,this paper from the perspective of LIS information services sector, and from the theory ofrural information service, combined with cultural sharing, new rural construction andcultural policies, tried to investigate and study on the current situation of cultural life ofthe children left-behind in rural areas in Hunan province, so that tried to find their needsof cultural information and the barriers to access for existing cultural informationservice,and proposed countermeasures against the existing cultural informationservice,tried to build cultural information service model for rural children left-behind,this study mainly in the following three points:The theoretical basis of cultural information services for left-behind children in rural.Through defining the rural children left-behind,public cultural services in rural, ruralinformation services, information services and cultural information services for ruralchildren left behind,which are the four core concepts of information construction in ruralareas. So that laid rural children left behind theoretical foundation of cultural informationservices by combining theory of information services, theory of communication and thetheory of public service.Analysis of the status of cultural information services in rural children leftbehind.Taking the research in Hunan province as an example, so as to analyze thecurrent situation of cultural services in rural children left behind, and proposed theexistence of aspects of campus cultural services, building township cultural facilities,family cultural training and other issues.Research on cultural information service model for rural children left behind.Trying to make the services more comprehensive and from single to multi-service agencies, thecultural information service model for left-behind children in rural areas are divided intothree modules: urban linkage-Inter-sharing services, government-led-multi-partycollaboration services, community involvement-diverse innovative services.This paper presents the theoretical basis and relevant countermeasures of buildcultural information service model for left-behind children. It is a new perspective to thestudy of rural left-behind children that to create a positive and healthy culturalenvironment in order to improve the well-being of children left behind in rural areas andinformation literacy by modern information technology from the services of culturalinformation to care for children left behind in rural areas.
