To Research Mao Zedong’s Thought On National Defense Science And Technology(1949-1976)

“No country can stand safe and sound without defense”. TheCommunist Party of China as the ruling party has always attachedparticular importance to the development of national defense science andtechnology， and considers it as one of the most important organiccomponents of China’s modernization. After the founding of New China，China has made great achievements and breakthroughs in nationaldefense science， which mainly benefited from guidance of MaoZedong’s accurate judgment and analysis of the international anddomestic situations and the correct strategic approaches of China’snational defense science and technology policy.The historical timeline was used as time clues and Marxism was usedas the basic ideas and methods in this paper. First of all， this paper，based on the concepts of Marxist national defense science andtechnology， comprehensively introduced and summarized Mao ZedongThought of National defense science and technology since the foundingof the New China， trying to clarify dialectical relationship among MaoZedong thought on military， Mao Zedong Thought on defense， MaoZedong Thought on technology，the thoughts Mao Zedong Thoughts andMao Zedong Thought on national defense science and technology.Furthermore， this paper gave a detailed analytical description of thebasic contents， historical status， significant impacts of Mao ZedongThought on national defense science and technology. Finally， the paperstressed that Chinese Communist Party should further improve nationaldefense science and technology and must always adhere to it as along—term strategic task. During this process， we must use the Marxistconcepts of national defense science and technology as guidance， innovate ideas， tools and methods of inherited Chinese traditionalconcepts and Mao Zedong thought of national defense science andtechnology， which can provide reliable technological support andsecurity for the new era of China’s national defense science andtechnology development and building a moderately prosperous society.
