The Research Of The Current Situation And Countermeasure On Social Pension Service In S District South Of Jiangsu Province

The S district in south of Jiangsu province has been one of the severest areas facing the aging problem since1982when it entered the ranks of the aging society. To solve the pension problems in S district caused by aging population, the S district takes measures actively to develop the pension service. During the past10years, the S area came across a series of problems, while the conflicts between aging service and its needs have become increasingly apparently. How to play the leading role for the government and how to make good use of the power of social forces to overcome the aging problem are problems for us to think over.On the basis of some theories, the research analyzes the literature about social pension service from home and abroad, analyzing the current situation of social aging pension service and the data in questionnaire, finding the problems in social pension service:the programs offered by government can’t satisfy the variety needs; the service team can’t cope with the rapid development of social pension needs; the government management for social pension service organizations is not in place. Learning from the foreign countries and considering the actual situation in S district, the thesis proposes countermeasures as followed:supporting the development of social pension service facilities; strengthening the management of social pension service organizations or institutions, expanding programs of social pension service; improving the operational level of social pension service; training the personnel in social pension service.
