A Study On The Construction Of College Graduate Students’ Community-level Party Organization

The report to the eighteenth national congress of the communist party of china pointed out that:“community-level party organizations play a key role in rallying and leading the people in implementingthe party’s theories, line, principles and policies and in carrying out its tasks Fully leverage the role ofcommunity-level party organizations in enhancing development, serving the people, rallying pubic supportand promoting harmony.” The construction of college community-level party organization is an importantpart of the community-level party organizations in our country. Graduate student party members as aspecial group of intellectuals, they have the highest percentage in the student party members, the situationof their ideological and political influences the quality of party members team. In the21stcentury, theinternational and domestic situation have happened enormous and profound changes, for college partyconstruction, new changes put forward higher requests. So only to study the present situation, find out theexisting problems, and explore effective solutions will we improve the level of graduate studentconstruction, strengthen the graduate students’ community-level party organization’s creativity, cohesionand fighting capacity. As a special group, graduate students have huge differences to undergraduatestudents in the level of ideological understanding, learning way ect. Therefore, the college should payattention to the characteristics of graduate students, setting up the graduate student party branch andcarrying out the party branch’ activities should according to the characteristics of graduate student group,meanwhile, advancing with times and innovating continuously. only that, will we build a graduate studentparty team with sound mechanism, perfect organization, advanced party members.Based on the existing data, the author researches the situation of representative college graduatestudents’ community-level party organization. In order to grasp the current situation, this paper used theform of questionnaire survey to research the situation of China University of Petroleum (East China),hoping to be from the case to universal. The study found that: in recent years, the college had paid attentionto the construction of community-level party organization of graduate students gradually, the work hasmade great achievements, such as the graduate student party branch set up scientific, the way of organizingactivities diversification and so on, but there are many problems, such as secretary of party branch’sselection and training mechanism is not perfect, the continued education system to graduate student is notregular, graduate students’ vanguard model is not significant and so on. This paper analyses the reasons forthese problems, puts forward feasible countermeasures in order to accelerate the pace of construction ofgraduate students party organizations, and gradually improve the level of graduate students partyconstruction.
