The Resolution Mechanism On The Conflicts Under The Integration Of Interests In Community

As the epitome of the society, community can directly reflect theinterdependent rivalry of the stakeholders in social transformation. The essenceof the conflicts in the community is a state of disorder in the process ofrestructuring the original balance of interests and striking a new one. Theconflicts do have passive impact, but at the same time, they are the source of anew order, by means of pushing the integration of the stakeholders andstimulating to create a new order, which is necessary to all parties in thecommunity. If the conflicts can be effectively tackled, it will be conducive topromoting the integration of interests in urban communities, thus accelerating theprocess of social democratization at community level.This paper initiates the interests and needs of local residents and aims atachieving the integration of interests and promoting autonomy in the community.At the beginning, the author proposes that the community is a open space wherethe interests are dynamic and interrelated. The more intense the conflicts ofinterests are, the greater the demand for a new order is. The conflicts in community can be predicted, negotiated and even well controlled, which is anessential way to the formation of community autonomy. The thesis summarizes aresolution mechanism on the conflicts in the community, namely prevention,negotiation, constraints and safeguard.This thesis examines how every step of the resolution mechanism on theconflicts coordinates, interacts, complements and connects with each other andhow to achieve community autonomy in the process through the analysis of theauthor’s case study on XH community in Shanghai CN District. In summary, thethesis draws3conclusions: First, the resolution mechanism on the conflicts startswith the interests and needs of local residents; Second, the resolution mechanismon the conflicts develops with democratic negotiation and corrective intervention;Third, the resolution mechanism on the conflicts aims at achieving integration ofinterests and community autonomy.
