Utilitarianism,as an important branch of Western Ethic,originated in the Ethics of ancientGreek philosopher,after the development of Hobbs,Hume,Adam Smith and Helvetius,FinallyBentham, Mill and Godwin became the masters of utilitarianism,including four perspectives:the Greatest happiness principle,the Joy principle,the Final Binding and the Principles ofsocial justice.Utilitarianism produced in the late18th century British capitalist developmentinto industrial production period,and played an important role in the solving the marketeconomy moral crisis in the UK even the whole Western Europe.However,because of notgetting rid of the limitations of Bourgeois production relations and the Effect,it can’t realizethe interests of the majority and the social justice.Marxism is as the most advanced andclassical thinking,and the views of utilitarian have similarities with utilitarianism. Marxism onthe utilitarian point of view oversteps Utilitarianism from the Historical materialism, andcomplements existing ethical system scientifically and effectively.
