With rapid development of China' economy, shortage of energy sources has became increasingly serious. As the living environment has been badly damaged, sustainable development is facing a great challenge. In the case that China has a large population but limit natural resources, it's a key point how to meet the great demand of energy sources without damaging the environment, for which wind power exactly qualifies. As a newly-born industry in our country, wind power is at its early stage and few theoretical and analysis research has done for its feasibility. The author hopes that this paper will offer a few ordinary introductory remarks so that others may offer their valuable ideas. Firstly this paper gives a brief introduction of the background of wind power, the situation of its development inside and outside of China, and feasibility and necessity of its development in China. Then, the author digs into feasibility study of wind power, and with his working experience attempts to discuss construction and cost-effectiveness of wind parks. Furthermore, he takes the Shibeishan Concession Rights Model Project as an example to apply and verify his theory and method in wind power feasibility study, which investors interested in this field will benefit from. Finally, the author analyses the existing problems in China's wind power feasibility study and raises a whole new concept - infeasibility study in hope of making contribution to the cause of China's wind power with his effort.Combining theory with practice, this thesis has further reach on the theory of wind power feasibility study aiming at practicability of the theory. It also analyses the core of feasibility study of the Shibeishan Wind Park by which to improve the level and qualification of our country's wind power feasibility study, achieve favorable development of this cause, and meet China's need for environment protection and sustainable development.
