Nowadays migrant workers are playing a very important role in the urban construction in China, therefore it is of great importance to help them to better adjust themselves to the urban life, which in turn contribute to alleviating the pressure of the city, preserve the stability and promote the harmonious development of the society. At present, a lot of empirical study has been made on the issues related to migrant workers’ adaptability to urban life, but most researchers focus on the urban area and few of them pay attention to migrant workers’adaptability to the life in factories. However, with the rapid urbanization, industrialization and modernization of the society, large numbers of migrant workers have been crowding into the cities and finding jobs in cities instead of farm work. If they can adapt themselves to the new life style in cities, it will be much easier for them to make a living in cities, or they will be forced to go back to hometown and become the so-called "marginal people". With both empirical study method and document research, the author focus on the study of factors affecting migrant workers’ life in companies. Based on the related document research, a hypothesis frame work of these factors have been made out, in accordance with which a series of questionnaire have been designed. According to the analysis of the results of questionnaires given to nearly 300 migrant workers who are working for companies in Fujian, Quanzhou and Jinjiang, along with the method of unstructured interviewing and document research, SPSS micro-software analysis, and hypothesis a series of study have been carried out and this article concludes the factors affecting their adaptability to factory life and focuses on the variance analysis of these factors. In detail, this article focus on the migrant workers’adaptability to life in companies or factories nowadays from two aspects:the migrant workers’quality and the factory system. While the migrant workers’ quality includes human capital and social networks, the working conditions includes system and working environment. Human capital and social networks are the largest wealth for migrant workers, and they must rely on them to make a living in a strange company, even in the strange city. While whether the enterprise system is reasonable or not affect the workers’ working efficiency and satisfaction. As there is no systematical and authoritative definition of the concept of adaptability of rural migrant workers in cities and it is subjective, so the author here expresses the understanding of its own:in this paper, the adaptability of the enterprise can be divided into two parts:adaptability to living environment and adaptability to working environment. The adaptability to living environment mainly refers to that to six dimensions such as the dining room environment, food, accommodation environment, dormitory management system, entertainment facilities and living environment facilities; while adaptability to working environment mainly include that to 5 dimensions such as the work, systems of work schedules, overtime, asking for leave and leadership arrangement.
