Childhood not only is the gold age of life development, but also the best stage of adaptation the society. In the children’s growth process, they gradually adapt to the social environment. In order to better understand the children’s social adaptation,the author participated the project of “Research on Physical and Emotional Health of Children in Tianjin” in 2013.Through the questionnaire, we conducted a survey on the 1,505 students from different school in the six districts and counties of Tianjin and the three districts and counties of the case interview.We learned from the survey data that the social adaptation status of Tianjin is good. But there exist some problems ofself-conscious,interpersonal skills and support, social participation and so on. Through empirical research, we conclude that the adaptation of the children’s social status andexisting problems. At the same time, the author also analysis the influence factors of children’s social adaptation, and puts forward suggestions and countermeasures from the family, school, society and so on.This article is divided into five parts:The first chapter is introduction. Mainly discusses the research background, purpose and significance, research at home and abroad and the existing problems, theories,tools and methods of research,and some concepts and innovation had been posed.The second chapter is the empirical research and analyze of children’s social adaptation of Tianjin. This includes the investigation of the overall situation of the object and sample, children’s social adaptation status,and existing problems.The third chapter is analysis on the influencing factors of children’s social adaptation of Tianjin, and points out that the decisive factors affectingchildren’s social adaptation.The fourth chapter is the countermeasures and suggestions of promoting children’s social adaptation ability. Mainly from the three aspects: family, school and society to discuss.The last part is the conclusion. Mainly include the main conclusions, research limitations and prospects for the future.
