With the economic development after the rural elderly material support level has been greatly improved, the basic material life has been satisfied, the desire for a higher level of spiritual needs increased, due to the spiritual support is not easy to quantify, it is difficult to measure, to get enough attention. With the emergence of the shortage of spiritual support, compared to other problems, the problems of the elderly spiritual solace become more prominent, thus, the elderly spiritual support research is put on the agenda.This thesis starts from the perspective of those who need spiritual support, taking T town in Huishui County of Guizhou Province for example, makes descriptive analysis of rural elderly’s objective situation of living, subjective feelings situation and spiritual support situation, on the basis of spiritual support to the elderly satisfaction as the dependent variable, the rural elderly and the elderly living situation objectively and subjective feelings of living conditions characteristic factors as independent variables, multiple linear regression model fitting, spiritual support satisfaction of rural elderly Empirical analysis through research, we can draw the following conclusions:One contradictory aspect of rural elderly in substance eased, strong demand for spiritual solace elderly, less support from the spiritual to give inadequate solace, spiritual support is quite conspicuous, but the overall spirit of the elderly support higher satisfaction. The elderly spiritual support to insufficient supply, but the overall performance of a higher spiritual support satisfaction, in fact, this is no contradiction, for two main reasons: First, under the spiritual support supply shortage, the elderly general performance of family and social tolerance and understanding attitude toward spiritual support requirements are relatively low, the psychological gap is small, few will be able to achieve a very high spiritual support utility, easier to feel satisfied, the elderly spiritual high overall support satisfaction. Secondly, the level of satisfaction of spiritual support, in fact, does not depend on the actual number to get spiritual comfort, but the old man can perceive family care of relatives and friends, although due to objective factors, such concerns are not fully translate into behavior elderly fully aware that such concern, the same can get spiritual satisfaction, the whole spirit of the elderly support higher satisfaction.Second, the objective situation of rural life for the elderly, in the case of controlling for other factors constant, the elderly, health status, income level, number of people living together, number of children, the frequency of interaction with their children, and their families live in harmony degree, and relatives of the neighbors live in harmony to produce a significant positive impact on the spiritual support satisfaction; in the case of controlling for other factors constant, the frequency of the elderly alone, whether the Government had received spiritual support and social assistance to their satisfaction degree produces significant negative impact. Other arguments of the objective situation of older persons living in rural areas did not have a significant impact on their spiritual support satisfaction.Third, from respect of the rural elderly subjective feelings for life, in the case of controlling for other factors constant, the frequency of the elderly feel happy, family caregivers satisfaction and satisfaction with respect both to their spiritual support satisfaction produced a positive and significant effect; in the case of controlling for other factors constant, the elderly nervous frequency of its spiritual support satisfaction had a significant negative impact. Other arguments subjective feelings of rural elderly living situation did not produce a significant impact on their spiritual support satisfaction.Based on the above thoughts, in order to improve the social dimension of rural elderly spiritual support satisfaction, this thesis throws out suggestions from the individual level, family level, neighborhood level and the government level.
