Taiwan’s Mainland Citizen Education And A Comparative Study Of Ideological And Political Education Practice

Since the reform and opening up, Chinese economy has achieved a leap forward development, however, social development can not keep up with the pace of economic development, the construction of the social system is not perfect, the traditional ideological and political education has met the growing challenges in the implementation process. In this paper, by comparing the practice of civic education of Taiwan and ideological and political education of the mainland, exploring and absorbing the useful experience of civic education of Taiwan, to develop and improve the ideological and political education of the mainland.Taiwan has always been a part of our country, due to historical and geographical reasons unique, civic education of Taiwan not only carrying forward the Chinese traditional culture, but also combining it with the Western value idea at the same time, thus Taiwan has developed a unique way of civic education. There is close relationship between civic education of Taiwan and Ideological and political education of the mainland in practice, because they have the same cultural background, it has very strong comparability in the aspect of educational goal, content, path and method. Of course, as civic education of Taiwan and the ideological and political education of the mainland has different historical circumstances and the development of routes, they have their own characteristics, Taiwan citizen education focuses on improving the individual citizen’s overall quality, and the mainland ideological and political education focuses on improving the overall quality of all the people.The first three chapters discussed the goal and the content, path, method of the Taiwan civic education and the mainland ideological and political education, and then the related factors of two are compared. The main goal of Taiwan civic education is for social, educational content cultivate mainly ethics, social knowledge and practical ability, and the mainland ideological and political education contents more politics, thought, ethics oriented theory knowledge. Taiwan civic education and the mainland ideological and political education, both have educated path with school education, family education and media publicity education, community education and community education path of civic education in Taiwan are more mature than witch of the mainland ideological and political education in application, and the path of the mainland ideological and political education in construction of the party is characteristic. Method of civic education in Taiwan mainly profits from USA and other western countries, a Cosplay method, value clarification, moral dilemma method, group learning method and turning round the classroom method, which are more human, and the mainland method of Ideological and political education mainly include theory instilling law, the practice education method, the typical demonstration method and Comparative Education method, which fit for the current international and domestic situation. Therefore, the Taiwan civic education and the mainland ideological and political education method, both have their own good points and characteristic.The fourth chapter mainly elaborates humanistic education concept," covert" mode of education, socialization of citizen education through and the quality of the civil practice education of the Taiwan civic education, and discusses its enlightenment to the mainland ideological and political education:visual human freedom and all-round development as the goal, focus on the content of school education level and progressive, build three-dimensional education network and strengthen implicit education.
