The Interventional Analysis Of Social Work On Urban Community Elderly Association’ Work

With the development of aging and the rapid economic development, population of the elders became more and more larger, and the demands of these old people has been changed. While restrained by many factors, the demands of these old people could not be achieved, which made the life of their old age poor.Elder’s association is a non-governmental organization in urban and rural areas, which plays an important role in providing service to the elders and protecting their legal interest. Fuzhou developed Elder’s association much earlier. Elder’s association in urban community is an important carrier to provide services and improve elders’ life quality.Focusing on F community in Fuzhou, the author investigated different groups in the community and applied the method of social work to serve the article. The description on the present development of the association were made from the following four dimensions, community leadership, organization leadership, attitude of the membership and evaluation of the masses, and twelve typical cases were chosen to analyze the function of elders. The author defined the problems in the operational process with the method of social work,analysis the necessity and feasibility of intervention and exp(?)ored how to solve the existing problems with the method of social work.This paper divided inte five parts. The first part introduced the background of the research, research process and methods, significance of the study and some other scholars’ opinion on this research. The second part summarized the basic information of the F community and its e(?)er’s association, and analyzed the operational mechanism of the association. The third part represented the development of the association from the aspects of twelve typical cases. The fourth part analyzed function of the elders’ association on the basis of above investigation. The final part defined the problems in the operational process with the method of social work and proposed some improvement projects to the existing problems.
